The 2022 Winter Olympics will be held in Beijing on February 2. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the air pollution in North China, Huaibei, and West China is serious. In order to achieve carbon neutrality, the central government decided: before January 1,2022. Shut down all heavy industry enterprises in heavily polluted areas such as North China, Huaibei, and West China, focusing on areas such as Tangshan, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Zhangjiakou, Chengde, Shandong, Jinan, Weihai, Weifang, Taiyuan, Datong, Changzhi, Shanxi, Luoyang, Zhengzhou, etc. The shut down period is from January 1,2022 to March 8,2022.

Under the influence of this policy, demand is weak, but cost is high, some vitamin manufacturers have willing to increase the price, so some items price tendency is not clear. What we are sure that K3, Inositol, Folic Acid，price won’t drop. Need to pay more attention to B5.

VA price stable

On Sep 14, DSM VA plant stopped production until the end of September, reducing production by 30% in the fourth quarter. VA price went up from USD67 to USD75-76/kg. On November 16, BASF announced that European VA realized production , and it is planned to gradually provide conventional supply from Jan 2022. Euro market VA1000 price is 71.5-75/kg. Real transaction price is USD72-75/kg. VA price is stable. In the long run, VA price will drop. We recommend the buy and use principle. Food grade VA market price is as follows: VAP 1.7:USD95/kg,   VA Acetate 1miu: USD85/kg, VA 0.325miu : USD34/kg,   VAP 25: USD30/kg.

D3 price stable

The quotation of Euro-market is €13-14/kg. ZMC Changhai Biology started maintenance for 45 days from July 25. Garden stopped production and started technical improvement from August 18, it is expected to be completed by the end of Sep 2021. Market attention is increased and D3 price rose a little. Transaction price is at the range of USD14-17/kg. Food grade D3 price is as follows: D3 40miu: USD2800/kg,   D3 1miu: USD75/kg

VE price stable

On Sep 23, the market reported that there were factories in Europe and planned to reduce production from October to November. On Oct 21, BASF increased 15%-20% vitamins and Carotene’s price. On Nov 9, it’s reported that Yimante VE factory planned to start overhaul this month. The time is 6-8weeks. VE market is strong. VE 50% feed grade price is at the range of USD11.5-USD12/kg. VE price is stable.

Food grade VE 50% price is USD16/kg,   VE98% price is USD22-23/kg .

K3 price upward

On Oct 20, Zhenhua, Minfeng quoted MSB at USD19/kg, MNB at USD21.5/kg. On Oct 28, Zhenhua, Minfeng increased MSB to USD23.5/kg, MNB at USD25.5/kg. On Nov 12, Zhenhua Minfeng increased MSB to USD29.5/kg, MNB to USD31/kg. Zhenhua, Minfeng is the largest K3 producer. Due to lack of raw material, Zhenhua only produce less than 10mt k3 now. It’s only for the end users. Brother stopped quotation. Due to lack of raw material, Methylnaphthalene, Vanetta and Luliang stopped production. There’s less stock in the market. Transaction is active. Real transaction price is at the range of USD23.5/kg to USD25/kg, MNB at USD25.5-27/kg.

VC price declining slightly

Corn prices rebounded, power rationing affected the factory operating, some VC manufacturers stopped quotation or increased VC price. Tiger stopped VC quotation on Nov 18. VC manufacturers still have strong willing of supporting the price. LUWEI quoted VC 99 at USD6.5/kg. But demand is weak, so VC price went down a little. But VC price tendency is not clear yet. VC99 transaction price is at the range of USD5.9-USD6.2/kg, VC 97 price is at the range of USD5.7-USD6/kg. VC 35 price is USD3.9-USD4.1/kg.

B1 price stable

Tianxin increased feed grade B1 mono to USD26-26.5/kg, B1 HCL to USD36-36.5/kg, Pharma grade B1 MONO is USD28.kg, pharma grade B1 HCL price is USD38/kg.   Due to shortage supply of B1 raw material, Brother B1 supply is very tight. B1 price is stable. B1 MONO feed grade transaction price is USD24-25/kg.   In the long term, B1 price tendency is upward.

B2 price stable

HEGNO quoted B2 80% at USD14/kg on Sep 24. Some B2 manufacturers increased B2 80 to USD16.5/kg.

B2 80% transaction price is at the range of USD13.5-14/kg. B2 98% price is USD53-55/kg. Due to weak demand, B2 price is stable now.

B3 price stable

Due to B3 raw material, Sodium Alum price rising,3-cyanopyridine price increased. B3 manufacturers have strong willing to increase the price. B3 price was raised to USD7.2-7.5/kg, B3 price is stable.   Niacin transaction price is at the range of USD7-USD7.2/kg,   Nicotinamide price is USD7-USD7.2/kg.

Choline price downward

Choline Chloride prices have been falling several weeks in Nov. With the Olympic Winter Games approaching, Chinese government will implements strict measures to ensure the carbon emission and air quality, so Choline Chloride price will be increased again in January. Choline Chloride 60% corn cob price is USD1350/MT, 70% is USD1400/mt, 50% SilicaPrice is USD1580/kg.

B5 price stable

Due to the shortage supply of raw materials , pantothenic acid lactone , calcium pantothenate price inceased in December. Xinfu, Xinfa, Brother stopped quotation for a long time already. Tiger, Jingjing and Huaheng stopped production. Jingjing signed limited new contract at USD15.5/kg, Tiger signed at 16.5/kg. There are still some low cost stock in the market, but there’s few Xinfu, Xinfa and Brother goods in the market. B5 transaction is active. Transaction price is at the range of USD14.5-18/kg.   Due to weak demand, B5 price dropped a little, in the long run, B5 price will be increased.

B6 price stable

Due to increased raw material, Tianxin increased B6 feed grade price to USD25/kg, Pharma grade at USD27/kg. Due to weak demand, B6 price went down a little. Feed grade B6 spot price is USD23-24/kg.

Biotin stable

Tianxin quoted Biotin 2% at USD10.5/kg on Sep 24. Most of Biotin manufacturers increased price or stopped quotation in October. Tiger stopped production and quotation on Nov 18. Some Biotin manufacturer increased Biotin 2% to USD12.5/kg. Biotin 2% transaction price is USD11.8-12.5/kg. Biotin price is stable. Biotin pure market price is USD450-USD500/kg.

B9 price upward

On Nov 1, Niutang announced that Folic acid price was adjusted to USD64/kg . On Nov 18, Niutang quoted Folic Acid at USD69.5/kg . On Nov, 15 Niutang increased Folic acid price to USD75/kg. Tiger quoted Folic Acid at USD55.5/kg. Tianxin stopped quotation.   There’s few stock in the market. Transaction is active.

Folic acid transaction price is USD52-53/kg.   

B12 price upward

B12 manufacturers increased B12 1% price to USD23/kg suddenly, so few companies signed the contract at the new price. Then Yuxing adjusted B12 1% to USD24.5/kg, Kingvit increased B12 1% to USD25/kg, Cyanocobalamin price is USD2500/kg. There’s few B12 1% stock in the market. B12 1%Transaction price is USD22.5-USD23/kg.

Inositol price upward sharply

Due to shortage supply of raw material, Haotian stopped producing inositol about one month already. It’s said they will resume production at the end of November. There’s few inventory in the market. Haotian increased inositol feed grade price to USD23/kg in November. Transaction price is increased day by day. This week spot price is USD20-USD21/kg.
